Quality made in Germany: Rotpunkt

Quality

State-of-the-art technique combined with tradition are core basics of ROTPUNKT’S planning and production methods.

This way kitchens of top quality are created that are not only fascinating due to their design and functionality but due to stable value and resistance to wear and tear.

A high degree of individualisation possibilties renders possible what we and our customers expect of ROTPUNKT kitchens.

Design

To create designs for kitchen means first of all to have an antenna for what the trend will be tomorrow – and not today. In this vein ROTPUNKT does not follow every trend but look and listen to the vibes of the market before they decide on a new product line. This would then – as in past and future kitchens – follow a particular design line. ROTPUNKT kitchens have to convince functionally. And catch the eye.

Configuration

The kitchen is and always will be an article of daily use, whose quality is measuredby functionality, ergonomics and innovative technology. A great many things are seen by ROTPUNKT as standard for a modern kitchen, many are therefore self-evident and are included in the basic price. Those who want more can of course choose to enhance the standard of their kitchen by way of design and/or technology.

Innovation

Once a year the kitchen industry invents itself anew, so to speak –the quest for new trends is on. ROTPUNKT also shows once a year at their in-house exhibition how they interpret and develop further new trends. But ROTPUNKT does not re-invent the wheel at their exhibition. Every range of goods preserves the time-tested and adds new innovative elements. ROTPUNKT attaches great importance to introducing their novelties personally. Design intricacies and/or technological components speak then for themselves.

LAMINATE WORKTOP

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is cache_13177228.jpg

Usage: General usage, including food preparation areas, sink runs and around hobs and cookers.

Appearance: Can accurately mimic other worktop materials, including granite, slate and wood, so will suit modern and traditional schemes.
Maintainance: Very low maintenance. Clean with mild detergent
Sealing: Not required
Durability: Resistant to most stains and chemicals, but not to heat or steam. Not suitable as a cutting surface.
Flexibility and fitting: One of the few materials that can be cut and fitted by the kitchen fitter.

COMPOSITE WORKTOP (“QUARTZ”)

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is cache_13176512.jpg

Usage: A very practical and beautiful choice that can be used anywhere, including next to hobs and around the sink.
Appearance: Dramatic colours look fabulous in modern and contemporary kitchens. If your room design is quite traditional, stick to neutral colours.
Maintainance: Wipe up spills to prevent marks. Keep clean with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent.
Sealing: Not required
Durability: Composite is very tough and more durable than many natural stones. As the colour runs right the way through the material, any scratches can be sanded out.
Flexibility and fitting: This worksurface can be thermoformed into different shapes without joints to create streamlined, seamless worktop runs. Composite worktops have to be fitted by the stone mason.

GRANITE WORKTOP

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is cache_13278041.jpg

Usage: Any area of the kitchen, including around the sink and next to the hob or oven. A large expanse of glossy granite makes a striking island worktop
Appearance: It’s a luxury material that never falls out of fashion and suits traditional and modern styles. Choose from a classic polished finish, or a honed matt for a more contemporary look.
Maintainance: Very low maintenance. Clean using a damp cloth and a mild detergent
Sealing: Granite requires an initial sealing, and then another every year (depending on use).
Durability: The best of all the natural materials, it can withstand high temperatures, is water resistant and impervious to most stains, but wine and citric acids must be cleaned up at once.
Flexibility and fitting: With advances in modern technology, granite can be cut into a variety of shapes and sizes, although it is very heavy to transport and difficult to manoeuvre. It has to be fitted by the stone mason.

KiBa Bathrooms

The bathroom is often the smallest room in the house, but it ranks second, behind the kitchen for the number of architectural decisions that must be made.

From a design standpoint, the bathroom presents some of the greatest challenges, but challenges mean opportunities. With a little planning we can create a master suite that is truly your own!

We think of your bathroom as an ensemble of elements. These elements should compliment

each other. We will try not to introduce to much contrast either in style or in quality as one out of place component could diminish the effect of the whole.

The details are often the first thing noticed when entering the room. If everything matches, and all the elements compliment each other, the result is an eye-pleasing collage. If they are not coordinated or don’t blend together well, the result is disharmony.

A shower toilet combines the functionality of a toilet and the cleaning properties of a bidet. Not only does it save space, but it is convenient too: you can simply start the integrated shower function with the touch of a button while you stay sitting comfortably on the WC. Warm water offers a more thorough and gentle clean than toilet paper, making it ideal for cleaning sensitive intimate areas. And best of all? You will feel clean and refreshed every time you use the shower toilet.

Bathroom Maintanance

Clean the bath tub and/or shower

  • Spray with cleaner and scrub the walls and the basin in a circular motion from top to bottom. Spray the entire area with plain water to rinse off the cleaner, and wipe it down again with a damp cloth.

Clean the mirror

  • Wet a cloth with glass cleaner or dip it in dishwashing liquid and water.

Scrub the sink

  • Wipe the sink and the vanity top with a damp cloth and dishwashing liquid or cleaner. Rinse completely and go over the area a second time. Scrub the drain with a toothbrush and scrape build-up from the joints between the sink and the counter with the edge of an old credit card.

Disinfect the toilet

  • Scrub both the inside and the outside. Brush stains away with a toilet brush.

Clean the tiles

  • Using a sponge and cleaner (liquid soap) diluted in water. Dry with a clean cloth/old towel.

Mop the floor

  • Using a sponge and cleaner diluted in water, and starting from the farthest corner of the room, work toward the door, going left to right. Dip the mop into the bucket of cleaner, wring it out, and push it over a manageable section of the floor. Then dip the mop into a pail of clean water, wring it out, and mop the section again.

Clean the waste bin

  • Spray both the inside and the outside of the wastebasket with all-purpose cleaner, and wipe it down with a cloth.

Wipe down the shower rods and attachments

  • Use a cloth dampened with water and dishwashing liquid. Dust can build up, preventing the rings from moving smoothly.

Clean the medicine cabinet

  • Empty the contents, placing them in the sink, then mist the walls and the shelves with cleaner and wipe with a cloth. Scrub any dirty areas with a toothbrush.

Clean the cabinets

  • Lightly dampen a cloth with water and cleaner, and work in the direction of the grain, from top to bottom. Rinse and repeat. Polish the knobs.

Wipe the taps and fixtures

  • Use a wet cloth with cleaner. Dry with a clean cloth.

Clean the air vents

  • Dust or vacuum with a brush attachment.

Attention!

  • Never use bleach (exeption: inside toilet pan if necessary). Bleach can spoil the silicone sealant (making it porous causing leaks) and may discolour taps, baths and trays.
  • Avoid one shot drain cleaners/dambusters – remove hair regularly and rinse once a week drains with boiling water to avoid blockages.
  • Make sure that there is plenty of air circulation to avoid build up of mould.
  • We recommend to replace silicone sealant every two to three years in wet areas.

CERAMIC TILES

Ceramic tiles are made from a natural clay. During the formation process the ceramic tiles are shaped, coloured and then fired/baked in kilns.

Traditional ceramic tile can be naturally coloured and left unglazed (e. g. Terra Cotta), or they can have coloured and/or designed surfaces which can be glazed (glass surface) either in a high gloss or matt finish.

The bodies of most ceramic tiles are either red or white underneath the glazed top layer.

They are available a in wide variety of shapes, size, colour and design.

Ceramic tiles are mainly recommended for interior walls and floors.

PORCELAIN TILES

Porcelain tiles are also man made using natural materials. Porcelain tiles generally have no glaze baked onto the face, therefore the colour runs right through the tile.

Any wear or chips to the tile will be difficult to see.

They are extremely hard wearing and do not require sealing or maintenance processes associated with natural stone tiles as granite, marble or travertine.

Porcelain tiles are suitable for almost any application.

NATURAL STONE TILES

Natural stones tiles like granite, marble or travertine are formed geologically over million of years and part of their beauty is their colour and shading variations. This should be appreciated before making your choice.

Natural stone tiles require sealing to protect them from staining. The maintenance of natural stone depends greatly on the amount of use the tile has. For instance a highly trafficked floor or the walls in a shower cubicle will obviously require the most maintenance. In addition it is important that the installer blends the natural tiles prior to installation to ensure that the shades are distributed evenly.

Stone tiles can be quite heavy. We recommend that they are fixed with the appropriate adhesive.

As a guideline we would recommend that once the floor has been sealed, regular cleaning be carried out with the appropriate cleaner. It is recommended that once every 4 years (depending on use) the floor be cleaned with a heavy duty Grime Remover and re-sealed.

A good tip is to always keep a few spare tiles should you ever need to replace one in the future.
